I don’t know if you’re being snarky, but, yeah, that’s why people post

On message boards. They like arguing. It’s fun - for some, because they can be dicks anonymously that they’d never be openly. For others, it’s debating topics of interest, and it’s all fine if you don’t take anything too seriously. Least of all yourself.

It’s true on all message boards imo. The FB board here is at least as bad as the soapbox - worse, because so many more posters like arguing about FB. Hoops isn’t much better especially when times are a little tough. Look in on our in game chat board if Notre Dame jumps out to a lead tonight - I think anything less than payback for the South Bend drubbing will piss everybody off and launch all kinds of petty sniping.

People enjoy this as a pastime even if they don’t like admitting it. 2 keys - don’t take yourself too seriously, and don’t carry grudges from thread to thread. Then, I think it’s all good clean fun.
