Which historians? I'd like to hear what they actually said


and their reasons. Some distinguished historians filed an amicus brief with the Supreme Court over the use of the 14th Amendment to disqualify Trump, including James McPherson. They made a sound argument that, under Section 3, the president is an officer of the United States. Also, that the amendment is self-executing, like the age requirement.
