I feel certain now that it was the biopsy that was the actual cause. A lot of urologists still use the rectal biopsy, while there's a much safer approach in the trans perineal biopsy. With my own PCa diagnosis, I insisted on the trans-perineal biopsy, being aware of the significant danger of infection from the transrectal biopsy.
