Yes, but Biden has asked Pharmacutical Companies to voluntarily cap it at
$35 for everybody and has called on Congress to finish the job and cap costs at $35 for all Americans.
Eli Lillly, the largest producer of insulin, already capped the cost of theirs at $35.
Sanofi established a $35 monthly cap on out-of-pocket costs for Lantus, its most widely prescribed insulin in the US, for all patients with commercial insurance starting January 1. It already limits the cost to $35 for all uninsured patients.
A new competitor, Civica Rx, is working on manufacturing and selling insulin for no more than $30 a vial.
There may be others, too.
