When the Parkland story hit, we were on a vacation down there.

It was all of unnerving and disturbing and quite memorable to hear the story breaking in real time on the local news.

UVA baseball opened that season down there, and we usually go to the opening. I just remember feeling so distressed to hearing the news as we drove down the coast looking for some warmer ocean.
