Apparently, the quiz title wasn't a big enough clue

Trans men have vaginas, ovaries, a uterus, and menstruate, thus tampons for (trans) men. Just like cis women. But they can get penises. Some cis women opt for appliances, i.e., strap-ons/feeldoes/realdoes.

Trans women are born with a penis but after a lengthy and extensive evaluation can qualify to get a vagina as either a bilateral orchiectomy optionally followed by full blown vaginoplasty or a zero-depth vulvoplasty, or something in between, and of course breast augmentation, all in an approximation to matching their physical sexual traits to their gender identity. Or they can just opt for anal intercourse for their feminine sexual fulfillment. Or most likely, do nothing at all and just live with their personal dichotomies.

Does genetics always determine sex?

No! Many creatures have “environmental sex determinism’ (ESD), meaning environmental factors, such as temperature, pH or nutrient availability, determine their sex. Within vertebrates, ESD is only present in some reptiles such as turtles and crocodilians, and it is temperature-dependent.

It is not clear why ESD evolved. Scientists have put forward several theories such as that it minimises inbreeding or is the ancestral condition [2]. However, there is a lack of scientific evidence for both these theories.

What about animals that change their sex throughout their lifetime?
The scientific name for animals that change sex is ‘Sequential hermaphroditism’. Sequential hermaphrodites produce eggs (female reproductive cells) at one stage in their life and sperm (male reproductive cells) at another. It is not to be confused with hermaphroditism which refers to an organism that has sexual characteristics of both male and female sexes [3]. Within the animal kingdom, females may change to males (protogyny), males to females (protandry), females to hermaphrodites (protogynous hermaphroditism) or males to hermaphrodites (protandrous hermaphroditism) [3].

Like ESD, scientists are not clear on why sequential hermaphroditism has evolved. It may be an adaptation to stop inbreeding or perhaps reproductive success is dependent on size. Smaller sizes favouring one sex and larger sizes the other would enable this mechanism to evolve [4].

Then there's the intersexed, who make up as much as 1.7% of the human population, who are born with intersex traits. Intersex people may have any gender identity or sexual orientation. For example, an intersex person (sex characteristics), may identify as a man (gender identity) and as heterosexual (sexual orientation).

There are 6 different human biological karotypes that do not result in death of the fetus:

X – Roughly 1 in 2,000 to 1 in 5,000 people (Turner’s )
XX – Most common form of female
XXY – Roughly 1 in 500 to 1 in 1,000 people (Klinefelter)
XY – Most common form of male
XYY – Roughly 1 out of 1,000 people
XXXY – Roughly 1 in 18,000 to 1 in 50,000 births.

These are not 6 different sexes, just 6 different biological katotypes. Everyone just assumes that they, personally, are XY or XX. One study in Great Britain showed that 97 out of 100 people who were XYY had no idea.

Then in nature there's sequential hermaphroditism, where an organism's sex changes at some point in its life. In particular, a sequential hermaphrodite produces eggs (female gametes) and sperm (male gametes) at different stages in life. Sequential hermaphroditism occurs in many fish, gastropods, and plants.

This is not "woke". It's scientific observation.

Enlightening people about their naive precepts is not "woke" either. It's education.

And then there's the extraordinary case of the Guevedoces (literal translation "penis at twelve").
