Large teams can shrink where lots of the tedious work will be completed by AI, and the most creative parts of the jobs will remain "Actual I". Think of training a chatgpt on a narrow domain like tech support of different products. Tech support teams can handle a lot more calls faster with same headcount. A coder with a good AI assist tool will be a lot faster and building software products will be much faster. Hopefully these companies just become more productive rather than shrinking

Self driving will be a massive accomplishment if/when it arrives. That's a much less constrained domain and thus much harder to mimic true intelligent operation
