Delaware pursuing the case was appointed by former President Loser, left in place by Biden in order to avoid any appearance of bias, and a registered member of the GQP; the judge in the case that rejected the plea deal formulated by said GQP-affiliated US Attorney (totally independent of any input or interference from DoJ in DC) was also appointed by former President Loser; and the people who screamed the loudest about the plea deal were Congresspeople in the GQP. Any Assistant US Attorneys (the permanent staff of the US Attorney's office) involved with the case were hired through a process designed so that political considerations do not enter into the hiring decision, as mandated by law {underlined}. (Side note - A GWB staffer was found to have violated this law by the DoJ Inspector General for trying to introduce political considerations into the hiring of Assistant US Attorneys.}
