Too much church in the GOP, too little country club. I know

not what Kev was saying, but it's a bad analogy for those of us that would prefer for the party to return to it's pro business, pro security, pro prosperity roots (and put more ideas on the table).

The party today is more a mashup of the evangelical church and "Christians" in the South, gun nuts and the NASCAR crowd. It's not exclusive, just not a club many of us want to be in. But our electoral process being what it is (primaries and EC) and gerrymandering have made it much more powerful than it should be. Most Americans just aren't like the people that seem to be dominating the GOP today (I think that is actually Kev's point), hopefully the situation is not sustainable and the party gets back to core principles (on the economy, on our role in the world) and stops worrying about owning the libtardz.
