Wasn’t jimmy carter a Sunday school teacher?

Seems like a bold move to play imagine when the first line is “imagine there’s no heaven”, as heaven is a basic tenet of Christianity.

I guess that line could be interpreted as “live for today instead of focusing on heaven” but hard to see how that also isn’t heretical, given the teachings of most evangelical churches (ie believe in Jesus and you will be saved and have eternal life in paradise).
