Insurance rates are higher in big cities because there are more CRIMES committed among other factors. They don’t care about how many good people live there. There are calculating a risk and that goes up based on number of crimes and criminals present at any point in time. The risk of carjacking in a city of 100 with 1 carjacking that is 200 square miles is lower than risk of carjacking in a city of 1000 that has had 9 car jacks that is 2 square miles. All day every day.
