IBB doesn’t affect batter’s stats but does affect pitcher’s stats

Sometimes you IBB a guy because he’s a monster hitter like Barry Bonds and walking him is less damaging than letting him hit. But you also do it sometimes because there’s one out with a guy on 3rd and you want to set up a double play chance.
