“Both sides”? One “side” has a criminal who wants to suspend the
constitution and have his minions overturn elections he doesn’t win as its standard-bearer, and downright lunatics as its congressional leadership. And, as Glans alludes to below, kicked members of its own party out because they wouldn’t participate in an attempted coup.
The other “side” has a handful of loudmouth freshman Reps who like to stir the pot, none of whom have any real authority or influence. The most obnoxious of whom (Tlaib) was just censured by the House including by a dozen or so members of her own party for not being pro Israel. And the second it looked like Sanders (who is far left but in no way a threat to democracy or our republic) could win the nomination, rallied around more moderate Biden.
So no, its not a “both sides” thing. One side is batshit crazy and the other side is not, despite having its own shortcomings. That’s all there is to it. There really is only one choice moving forward if you actually care about staying a representative democracy and a constitutional republic, and it’s not even close.
