1) He hoped to accomplish what anyone protesting hopes to accomplish: i) To influence those in power and ii) to create public awareness around a cause, which in this case was election integrity.

2) No, he was not happy that proceedings were interrupted, as the riot/breach destroyed his chances of a successful election contest during the certification. It was the last thing he wanted. Yes, some sort of massive disturbance on 1/6 was not only foreseeable, but was actually foreseen. For example, the Trump admin had warned both Congress (Pelosi) and DC (Bowser) to ensure there was adequate security, as crowds would be large and rowdy, but those concerns were rebuffed.

3) Yes, he was concerned about the safety of the cops and tweeted specifically for the protestors to stay peaceful and respect the cops. No, he was not concerned about the safety of Congressmen, nor was anyone else with half a brain, as they were never in danger.

4) His focus was on the election contest, not Capitol security. Capitol security was the responsibility of Pelosi/McConnell/Bowser, and they all failed.

All the above aside, you have been propagandized into believing that 1/6 was something it was not. You have been made to believe that it was some sort of violent coup attempt/insurrection, but it was not. It was a protest during which a few dozen people -- unarmed -- out of thousands present mixed it up with some cops. That's it, and it was over in a couple of hours.
