an acquittal or hung jury. Maybe a pardon from the Governor? Maybe a sentence to probation from the Kemp-appointed judge? All those things are in play, and his chances may seem good enough that his post-conviction earning potential looks better to him if he goes down fighting rather than copping a plea and getting ostracized permanently by the Trumpie sucker base.


I don’t think we’ll see Rudy flip, and if neither he nor Meadows does, it might be hard for Fani to convict Trump. Trump fancies himself a Mafia Don, and the Don’s instructions and incriminating statements only go to one or two trusted lieutenants.

Nobody who’s pled so far is likely IMO to be able to truthfully say, “Trump told me personally to do X.” Or, “I know Trump knew he lost Georgia because I was there when Meadows told him that, and he acknowledged it.”

Jury may break down by political affiliation, and there are plenty of Republicans in the jury pool by percentage, despite the venue being quite blue. What I don’t know and am too lazy to look up is whether Georgia requires a unanimous verdict on non-capital felony trials, and if not, how many it takes to convict. (Most states that don’t require unanimity still require at least 10-2, I think.)
