The distinction is not always a nice bright line.


Is a disagreement over the appropriateness of Jordan as Speaker policy or political? Or about whether dems should have had a few reps walk out and keep McCarthy during the vote to ditch him (I waffle on it - I think I might rather have that than our current dysfunctionality)?

We have different worldviews and different perceptions of reality like never before. I don’t know how you keep political differences out of it. We have to be more tolerant of people with worldviews we find hard to understand, period. And be willing to listen to each other. Which is hard.

If everyone would suddenly agree to dump all their social media feeds, and never click on a story pinged to them by their news app (seek the news, don’t let it seek you), it would get easier imo.
