That's the same argument made for literacy tests in the Jim Crow south.


Too dim-witted to pass the test, "then you shouldn't vote." If questioned, just respond that it "is exactly how we’ve voted for centuries in this country."

Fortunately, the law now says otherwise and a jury agreed after hearing the facts of the case. Banana republics don't bother with that.
