Yep. Had both shots early this year. The first one knocked me on my ass
Like no other vax I’ve ever had, but it was still pretty mild - bad injection site pain for a day or 2, and a case of the flu for a day. I was laid up like I was sick. I had much less of a reaction to the second shot.
I also had shingles itself when I was about 46 - trust me, it’s worth the shot even if you have the most severe reaction both times. I think it’s fair to say that it was the worst chronic long term pain I ever experienced, and I was lucky - the rash was only on my lower left side. Not on my face or near my eyes.
Suck it up, get the shots. You do not want shingles. Even with an anti-viral right away I was in agony for about a month.
