Whatever you think of him now, look at the first 35 years of his life and you'd struggle to come up with a better resume. Two Ivy League degrees. JAG. Worked with a SEAL team, even if he was just running urinalysis. Legit athlete (which shouldn't matter, but does).

He could walk onto any stage and act like he belongs. He could govern that way. He could *live his life* that way. But instead, he lives, acts, and governs with a gigantic chip on his shoulder, like he's been burning for the last three decades to stick it to some kid who mocked his height in sixth grade.

He's done nothing but win elections and gain power, and he just seems miserable - robotic, huffy, crazy-eyed. His policies point to a sort of vengeance against people who he thinks lived a more enjoyable life than he has. I guess a lot of successful people are probably like that.
