And if Trump succeeds beyond his wildest dreams in his current strategy, which is to delay all trials until after Election Day, he still fails in his ultimate objective if he loses the election, which (the article argues) is looking likelier all the time.

I’m not sure the latter point is true. I agree PA and MI look likelier than not for Biden, but I think every other state of those discussed is a stone tossup, except NC, which is most likely a Trump win and by more than a few percentage points. Biden needs one more state, in other words, and unlike the author I don’t see that looking anywhere close to resolved, and Trump could easily sweep the contested states other than PA and MI, and win.
