…you’d have to prove a double-negative to make this case. You’d have to show that 1) he believed the election was on the level (no chance of you doing that) and 2) that the election was indisputably on the level (no chance of you doing that either).
And even if you could prove both, you’d just be saying that it’s now a crime for a politician to pursue their goals by lying, which would mean that every single politician in the country is going to jail.
