If you disagree — trust me, you don’t even begin to intimidate me.

Resetting the convo: No one disputes that there are issues in poor inner city communities that are overwhelmingly black that other parts of America don’t have to deal with. There are cycles of poverty, addiction, gangs, violence prison, police brutality, and institutional racism in those communities that even the poorest piece of white trash in the lowliest trailer park has never even sniffed. And yes, more gun violence.

But when someone says we need to change gun culture and someone else responds “no, black America needs to change its gun culture” it’s beyond ignorant and IS racist, whether you want to admit that or not.

Gun culture is a problem. Gun proliferation is a problem. Violence in our culture is a problem. Across the board. The fact that one community with a ton of disadvantages is hit the hardest doesn’t change that.

As to you pr last question— yes, I do. I think much of this country prefers to view inner city blacks more like monkeys in a zoo than real people and throws out the whole “well it’s not gun ownership that’s the problem, it’s those gang banger black kids…”. If white kids in the suburbs were trapped in cycles of gun violence these people would care. Kinda like how they suddenly started caring about drug addiction and overdoses when it was white people in Ohio and Kentucky and not black people in Baltimore being affected.

Maybe the 2A would be right where it belongs—in the dustbin of history—and we would have similar laws to the rest of the civilized world….but again maybe not. Mass school shootings has been an overwhelmingly white problem and no one did shit when a classroom of white kindergartners were gunned down in front of each other.
