black lawmakers do not want harsher punishment for crimes that effect black communities more. In two years the murder rate in RVA fell by over 50%, something that was over 90% in minority communities and the Congressional Black Caucus opposed it. They opposed a program that cut the murder rate in their own community by 50%. That’s fucking shameful.

And yes those seem to be sensible additions to gun safety, which I have supported many times here. The problem and point is democrats, especially black democrats only want THEIR ideas passed. They ignore the million pound elephant in the room. Look at the stats in this link and deny where the problem is.

It’s not an either or situation. And that’s what’s so frustrating. Both sides have legitimate concerns and solutions that should appease their bases but neither side wants to compromise.
