I think part of Trump's appeal


is that his supporters really want someone who will "fight for them," so to speak. Cowards like Rubio, Cruz, and now likely DeSantis don't understand that. You can't let him call you names, or call your wife ugly, or insinuate that your dad was part of the JFK assassination, and not come back at him and hope to earn their respect or support.

Rubio and Cruz made themselves into laughingstocks for no discernible benefit. DeSantis's Disney debacle came at a time when he was already losing ground to Trump. I think he's fucked. Couldn't happen to a shittier dude.
