Just after my son’s application is considered next year :-)

Just substitute socioeconomic factors for race in admissions decisions which is what they should have been doing all along. A rich kid has a MASSIVE advantage over a poor kid in the college admissions process — access to better college counselors and admissions coaches, more opportunity for AP coursework, more opportunity for academic related research internships, access to test prep, and the biggest scam of all… the “extra time accommodation” which is a huge advantage and goes disproportionately to kids in wealthy school districts. I have no problem factoring socioeconomic status into the admissions decision as that is a FAR bigger driver of unequal opportunity as compared to skin color alone.
