But there appears to be a loose "sanity caucus" against the worst of Trumpism that's held up for two elections running.

Thinking ahead to the next two years, if it's Trump one-on-one against DeSantis, Trump should be cooked. If it's another demolition derby like 2016, he can ride his 30% back into the general.
