crime against our system of government. No one in public service such as an election official, a legislator, or a judge should be threatened simply because someone disagrees politically. Many complain loudly about the dysfunction of government or the quality of people in government. They should be as vocal about acts like this that discourage people from public service. It used to be that the only jobs that came with the possibility of bodily harm were the military or law enforcement. Today, it is all too common for teachers, school board members, and elections workers, and nurses to be embattled. Those are threats against individuals for sure, but also against the institutions they represent. So, in short, this craziness runs throughout our society, because you don't have to be high profile to be the target of someone's ignorance, entitlement, and victimhood.
