mechanisms like the 25th Amendment which addresses any such concern. Does it mean they will be properly utilized? Definitely not -- but I'd much prefer to live with this structure which certainty can function and hope for the best compared to what would have to be some arbirtery choice of an age limit -- especially as health later in life and life expectancies only improve.

Most of all -- it only masks our bigger issues imo. We had two lousy choices in 2020, but we are doing this purely to ourselves. Somehow we are going to have to grow up and get past the issues that lead to such choices. Those who think we could really improve things with an age limit - ignores the larger problems and would undoubtedly eliminate some very good (and healthy) people.
