My understanding the other side of the equation doesn't mean I think it's right, or that it's what I would do, as illustrated above. It means I've taken time to consider both sides and their intent.

As far as your rebuttal with Chick Fil A...you're right, they didn't even do something like be dishonest about a gov bill, they simply were a private company who made donations to an organization. And yet, they lost privileges. The broader point...their lobbying efforts (via donation) got them canceled, Disney's lobbying efforts (via vocal lies and donation) got them canceled. I'm consistent with my rationale in that neither was the right outcome. Are you? If so, great...that would bring the count up to 2 people.
