sanctions were put into place. Just lo be clear, Russian GDP growth since 2014 is negative (in case MAGA fans are reading this). That is pretty unfathomable as negative growth in the US is rare, happening in 2008 and 2009 and 2020ish. And we always rebound is pretty quick order. I can't think of anything really we import from there--maybe a barrell or two of oil and a few minerals and some fertilizer, but I could not name a Russian automobile or telephone or computer to save my life. They simply on their best days are not competitive, trading energy and mining for manufactured and consumer goods. Good luck eating LNG and potash.
