...but, regardless, the kowtowing to BLM, the woke trainings, DEI, ESG, COVID theater, political donations, etc., illustrates where they are now.

As for why, it's because the government and big business have naturally become increasingly intertwined over time, so as the government shifts left, so does big business. Big business is in it for self-preservation and rent-seeking, so it does what it has to do. If the right ever gained control of government, then the political leanings of big business might change, but that is unlikely, IMO. By its nature, government trends left over time.
