A couple of years back, with the rebates, people were buying them new for about $23-25 K. (We got one in 2017 and with the rebates, paid about $30K.) It's a great car to drive if you have a garage and can charge at home. A downside is that its DC charging rate is only about 50kW, and if you're driving long distances, you'll have to make some stops of 30-60 minutes. Drivers have learned to not run the battery too low, or to completely fill it on trips as the charge rate tapers down.
