Your comparison leaves a lot to be desired.

Actors, writers, and others in the film industry were blacklisted for supposed personal ideological views. Those views were not expressed in their work output and therefore there was no effort on their part to proselytize.

As I understand it, this person's videos are being taken down due to wild conspiracies and out-right lies and disinformation, which ARE, in part, designed explicitly to influence others.

The comparison is indeed quite simple and also quite inaccurate.
