Invasion started. It turned out to be 100% wrong.

“…demonstrated that Russia has the military capability to impose its will…” turned out to be 100% wrong. In fact the very notion that Russia is a superpower at all is now highly questionable.

Russia has thousands of nukes, which, assuming they are in better operational condition than the rest of their military has shown itself to be (which we have to assume imo), makes them a very dangerous power to be reckoned with. But they are China’s tantruming little brother in all this. Putin has turned Russia into a full blown pariah state.

No, this article’s predictions turned out to be wrong. Russia is the big loser and China now understands the incredibly steep cost it would potentially pay if it goes rogue in Taiwan. Everyone in the world underestimated Ukrainian military competence and resolve, and overestimated Russia’s.

Long winded way of saying - this article is simply a reminder of how wrong international preconceptions were.
