As you often do you’re making a distinction without a difference.

Wax’s OP accurately sums up Trump’s intent and meaning even if it doesn’t quote him verbatim. People paraphrase and use different words to express what someone else said all the time. It isn’t dishonest when there’s no distortion of intent and it’s quite plain that’s not the case here. You’re nitpicking over meaningless semantics to defend a worthless, lying charlatan.
