He's Croatian and was married to my wife's niece for about8-9 years. We attended their wedding in Opatia about 12 years ago.

I'd heard a few years ago that he was spending lots of time writing very pro Russian propaganda. His wife still lives close to him as there are two sons, and there's shared custody, so she can't return to the US. He hasn't held a real job for years and that was a major cause of their divorce. In the first few years I knew him, I found that he was interesting and educated. Both of his parents, whom I've met , are chemists. The last time we met with him it was in SC as his father-in-laws home.

Since I'm still a FB friend, I can still go read his FB posts. I first noted that he has over 1200 FB friends. I quickly noticed that he's spending a lot of time supporting the major Russian claims (bio labs, Ukraine is a Nazi state, etc.). I clicked on a few of his friend's pages and found a number of them (but not all) who live in the US are spreading the pro Russian, anti Ukraine position. A common thread among the Russia supports was a lot anti vaccine posts.
