masks are tend to be bullshit written by people with an agenda. No one other than super heroes, bank robbers and ugly people likes wearing a mask, but as a parent of two with a teacher for a wife (and several other teachers in my family), can’t say I’ve heard much that suggests its anything close to a material problem.

It’s what I call a “necessary evil” which hopefully is becoming unnecessary. That would be great!

My concern is short sighted political red meat nonsense like this law gives school districts two options if and when another variant comes out, case loads spike or, worse yet, an even more dangerous virus comes around: shut down schools or load the kids into a petri dish with no ability to protect them. Which means “virtual learning” ….something nearly everyone agrees was a fucking disaster and did not work.

Can’t have it both ways and making masks “optional” pretty much defeats the whole purpose.

I would add that this is entirely about entitled snowflake “grownups” like jpm and not the actual kids. Half the losers mobbing schoolboard meetings aren’t even parents of kids at the schools they’re mobbing.
