The analogy would work better if right after the game

the President of UVA gave a speech and said:

"All of us here today do not want to see our football victory stolen by emboldened radical pro-Hokie referees, which is what they're doing."

"You don't accept defeat when there's theft involved"

"We will stop the steal. Today I will lay out just some of the evidence proving that we won this game and we won it by a landslide. This was not a close game."

"UVA got defrauded. "

"The pro-hokie refs attempted the most brazen and outrageous football game theft and there's never been anything like this. So pure theft in American history. Everybody knows it."

"We fight like hell. And if you don't fight like hell, you're not going to have a football team anymore"

And after that rousing speech full of lies, you had 2,000 people (not 6) storm the field to stop the steal, with some protestors violently attacking officers trying to protect the the referees. Bonus points for the analogy if the people who stormed the field had also erected a makeshift gallows and were shouting "hang the head referee". Further bonus points if you had protestors in the crowd with "Camp Auschwitz" shirts.

And then the analogy would STILL fall short because you would be talking about football game and the president of a University, not a presidential election... the foundation of our democracy, and the president of the United States.
