I have no preconceptions about whether any individuals in the mob will be charged by the FBI with insurrection. That is a very different determination from the obvious plain English determination - the mob was violent, it was attacking the government, and it was trying to prevent the legislative body from completing its ceremonial duty in the peaceful transition of power.

Which is an insurrection, using the literal definition of the word.
