They can, it's just that unvaccinated people are 17x more likely to be

hospitalized than vaccinated people. I'd be willing to bet the death stats mirror hospitalization stats. For people outside of the cult, a 17x higher risk of hospitalization is significant.

Yes, it's also possible to die "with" covid. But since March 2020, we have had roughly 1 million more deaths from all causes ("from" covid, "with" covid, and for reasons totally unrelated to covid) than would be expected based on normal and very predictable annual death rates. So whether they died "with" or "from" covid is somewhat irrelevant. 1 million more people died over the last 21 months than expected. The "with" vs. "from" argument doesn't make covid seem any less bad.... at least it doesn't for anyone who looks at and understand the data.
