…call it like he sees it. The fake news media really is the enemy of the people — the biggest domestic threat we face, IMO. I have no idea what to do about it, being pretty much a free press absolutist, but hopefully the more obscene the MSM becomes, the more people will quit paying attention to it. The emperor has no clothes.

The funny thing about Sullivan here, though, is that he leads with two major media scandals — Rittenhouse and the Russia Collusion Big Lie — as if they were just this week revealed to be fake news. For anyone using independent news sources, we’ve known for a year that Rittenhouse acted in self-defense and for four years that the Russia Lie was just a cover-up operation executed to protect the Clinton campaign’s and the federal law enforcement/intel bureaucracy’s crimes in illegally surveilling, entrapping and framing a presidential candidate and various supporters — aka, “subverting democracy”.

What appeared in the mainstream this week regarding those two stories is not in any way “news”. It’s ironic that Sullivan apparently doesn’t acknowledge that in an article he wrote condemning the fake news media. He also falls for the NEW fake media narrative that they and the various government actors were just “duped” in the Russia Collusion Big Lie. That is also fake news — they knew exactly what was happening and exactly what they were doing. They instigated the whole thing.

This story and all the others he mentions were not “errors” — they are examples of intentional misinformation designed to further a narrative that, as he notes, always goes in the same direction.
