The second bullet in their policy outline is the only potential cause for
Concern. Things can go off the rails depending upon how the Dept of Student Learning defines racial bias. Nobody wants to hear that math is racially biased.
But yeah, basically, this is simply a statement in no uncertain terms that actual Critical Race Theory is not taught, and that the school is trying to come to terms with dealing with historical racial issues and tensions in the country.
So posting that article in this thread seems to peel back the banana. What’s the concern for those citing it - CRT itself? If so can you describe it? Or are you using CRT as a buzzword for any recognition of racial issues in the country, and objecting to any attempts by schools to address it?
CRT is just a fucking scare tactic at this point. Too often by people who just don’t want school curricula updated for things like the Black Wall Street massacre, but don’t have the balls to be up front and say that. So they just call it CRT, a new scary thing.
