She and her husband separated and then divorced several years ago. He moved out to a condo and they've had an amicable sharing of time with their two sons, up to now. The 14 year old would like to get a covid vaccination and she would like for him to get it. (The other one is 11, I think.) The husband is a rabid Trumpist and refuses to allow the kid to get the vaccination. The mom could go ahead and take his to get the vaccine, but she knows it would destroy the amicable relationship. Until a couple of months ago her in NC, a minor who showed they had the ability to make an informed decision on a vaccine could get it on their own. Then, the GOP intervened, so now parents who get their information from Youtube and Parler can keep the kid for making an intelligent decision.

Oh, the father told the ex wife that he planned to take the unvaccinated boys to Mexico during winter break. She has the passports and says, "No Way."
