to support the traitors that stormed the Capitol on Jan 6 (interestingly enough, there aren't *that* many registered GOPers any more). It is not the reasonable people they need to convince that this wasn't a good thing and dozens of people should be thrown in jail for what they did (hopefully they will be)... I don't see it having any impact on leaders' election prospects in the midterms or beyond. So unless charges follow, it is going to feel like a partisan effort that only the wrong people will pay attention to (the lefties). Maybe it make 'never Trumpers' out of a few more moderates - which could be worth the effort. That pig did get 70m votes last year, but I'm guessing only about half from passionate followers.

The time to strike was on Jan 7. Everyone in Congress should have used the opportunity to make sure Donald J Trump doesn't run for office in this country again. Everyone except the Boeberts and Gohmerts or the world know that would have been the best outcome, but the GOP blew it. Pelosi certainly played a role with the ill-advised first impeachment... So we are where we are - where do we go next? I think the traitors' trials will be more interesting, but they probably won't be covered by Fox.
