One more, "Twist and Shout" in Ferris Bueller's Day Off.
The entire song is featured in the final parade scene. Bueller is lip synching to the Beatles.
The song was a major hit by the Eisley Brothers in 1962. In the days before Beatlemania, the Beatles were just another hard working rock and roll band, and they did a lot of cover songs. Twist and Shout was part of their repertoire. The story goes......... their first album recorded for Pharlophone and George Martin, was recorded all in one day, amazing in and of itself. The very last song to be recorded was Twist and Shout, and Lennon's voice was shredded by that time. You can hear that quality or roughness and sheer effort on the song. After seeing Ferris Bueller, I had a better appreciation of the song, as it was not really a Beatles song. I now think of it as one of their best recordings regardless.
