....I reside in an ultra-liberal area that has its share of problems. The local politician who represents my area identifies himself as a crusader for justice, equity and opportunity. I follow him on twitter. During his years as a politician, not once have I seen a tweet or an email that has encouraging and motivating words (especially to the youth) about being responsible citizens, conducting yourself in a responsible manner when in public, taking advantage of opportunities that are available in this community, and behaving in a respectable manner.....but, he loves to condemn the police department; complain about inequities and the lack of funding to help sustain and/or to grow services and programs to help the children, disabled, and the elderly. Yes, these services are definitely important, but.....gee whiz, I would have a better appreciation for this dude if he would express more passion for encouraging the people of this community to strive for excellence in conjunction with his complaints about the problems and issues that he feel he must crusade for to achieve justice and equity.
