Yes, congress does not "vote" to elect the president. 147 traitors voted

to ignore the election process outlined by the constitution.

Sorry but I prefer the president to be elected by electoral college via the ~160 million voters who cast their vote and not have one party in congress decide to nullify the election process outlined by the constitution because they don't like the results.

Fortunately there were only 147 traitors, but those traitors showed the roadmap for circumventing the will of the people in future elections. At some point there will be a sufficient majority of one party or the other to maintain power simply by refusing to accept results they don't like and throw the election to state legislatures. Our system of electing the president via the electoral college has stood for 240 years. 70% of the GOP decided that system should no longer be followed and instead voted to have the president selected by state legislatures. And you support that.
