It's an unnecessary loss of life. It looked like reinforcements were right there. I wish the cop had waited a beat more. I take no joy or satisfaction in her death.

I've also had enough of people arguing in bad faith to try to paint her as an innocent martyr. She took part in an insurrection and stormed the Capitol while Congress was convened to certify a presidential election. I think it's fair to say she was inviting her fate. Those who take part in domestic terrorism assume the risk of being shot by law enforcement.

All that said, if there winds up being a rash of white women who get shot in the halls of the Capitol, I promise to march on Washington with you.
