The article above makes a good point, one that I didn't quote
about how most people end up with a wide array of FB "friends" that is augmented really by just a bunch of strangers you know little to nothing about. I remember when I first started Facebooking and you just added everybody. The woman in that article talks about just adding strangers she met on a plane or anywhere else she randomly talked to someone for 5 minutes. Then 10 years later you're subjected to their political misinformation and all the trappings of that. If you didn't go through a stage where you added everyone you ever met, or if you do a deep cull of your feed, you can probably avoid the worst aspects of the site.
