Milton Friedman "Free To Choose" economic model. Some of it makes sense, but of course unfettered capitalism doesn't work in the real world. Neither does crony capitalism or pure communism. The Libertarian party is like a group of economic fundamentalists talking about a non-existent market Nirvana, which then devolves into weird discussions like whether NAMBLA is covered by the "no government regulation" scripture. Or perhaps mirroring first-year college dorm arguments fueled by alcohol. They have no realistic proposals for governance of a large, complex and diverse technological society.

Dabbling in it was a lesson learned for me.
